For a Fairytale Wedding Get Married In a Castle
As we approach the summer, everyone involved in the wedding industry will be gearing up for for the marriage session and it can get very busy. The better wedding venues often get booked years in advance, so to get one of these you need to start planning early. Some of the most popular wedding venues in the UK, and places that are certain to be fully booked in 2010 are wedding castles. So why are these venues so popular?
Grounds. Almost all castles are blessed with acres and acres of lush Greenland and woodland. Who wouldn’t want their wedding taking place to such a backdrop, not to mentioned the brilliant wedding photos that these locations produce. Furthermore, you can have a marquee in the grounds if the weather is nice, or take a nice walk around the moat.
History. Some would like nothing more that tying the knot in a tacky venue with cheesy music playing in the background. The majority of people however, prefer a classy location that has a great atmosphere and is steeped in antiquity. Old castles really help to set the scene for a fairytale wedding and have a quality that cannot be matched by newer buildings, no matter how large or fancy. Many people believe it is good luck to get married in a castle that has seen many other weddings, and some people need all the luck they can get!
Accommodation. As well as the stunning halls and towers, castles can often provide great accommodation for the wedding party. Most castles double up as wedding hotel also, which is not only convenient, much also makes more of an occasion out of the wedding. Everyone can enjoy the reception without worrying about having to get a taxi at some unsavoury time of night, or travelling miles to the nearest B&B. Also, all your loved ones can be there in the morning ready to see you off on your honeymoon.
